Faro International Airport (FAO): Approximate driving time is 35 minutes and distance is 25 kilometers (15.5 miles).

Taxis can be caught from outside the terminal building. Buses can also be caught outside the terminal building. AEROBUS provides a shuttle service between the airport and city centre daily (except Tuesday) in high season.

Local buses connect the hotel with many of the main towns in the Algarve. The closes train stations are at Faro, Loule and Albufeira, from where trains run to other parts of the Algarve and Lisbon.

Lago Restaurant - Located on the lower ground floor, the restaurant has a black and white mosaic floor, cream walls, coral cloths and wooden chairs with a dark red wash, looking out onto the front landscaped garden and drive. It serves a buffet breakfast with Continental hot and cold food, fruit salad and cereals. In the evening it serves a buffet style dinner in the summer with meats, fish, traditional Portuguese foods and pasta, whilst in the winter months it serves a table d’hote menu of Portuguese and international food.

Piano Bar - This large split level bar has a wooden lower level with dark wood and metal chairs and a carpeted upper level. On one side there is a piano where guests enjoy entertainment three times a week with views of the outdoor swimming pool. On one side there is a TV area and views of the lawn where there are BBQs and theme nights in the summer. The bar has a menu of snacks.

Caribbean Bar - Located by the outdoor swimming pool, this is a large wooden bar with poolside tables and chairs and is only open in the summer months. As well as cocktails and other drinks, it serves salads, snacks and a range of dishes from buffalo wings to satay chicken.

Amenity highlights: As well as conference and banqueting rooms for meetings and special events, the hotel has both indoor and outdoor pools, a Wellness Spa with realignment therapies and massage, plus tennis courts, beach access, restaurant and bars.

Insider tip: The hotel recently hired a Spanish design company, who took color pigments from the cliffs and beaches to redesign the property with matching and complementing organic color and lighting schemes. There are sensors in the hotel corridors that adjust the lighting according to the weather and light conditions outside, so guests do not unnecessarily strain their eyes when stepping from the bright sun to the contrasting dark indoors.

The hotel has two tennis courts on its grounds and is 500 meters from Falesia Beach where there are numerous water sports concessions in the summer. Guests also enjoy discounts at the Sheraton Pine Cliffs golf course next door, as well as various other courses within a 15-minute drive.

The hotel has four meeting rooms seating up to 150 theater style or 210 banquet style. The largest room, located by the Piano Bar, has natural lighting, a mosaic floor, and can be used as a ballroom or for parties with dancing.
